Fruits (Orange) Farming Training Program in Annapurna Rural Municipality, Dana, Magdi, Gandaki Province.
: The three-day Fruits (Orange) Farming Training Program was conducted from 2081.12.05 to 2081.12.07 in Dana, Annapurna Rural Municipality, Magdi, Gandaki Province. The training aimed to provide participants with practical and theoretical knowledge on orange farming, covering key aspects such as land selection, plant selection, nursery management, and crop protection techniques.
The training had 40 participants, all of whom were clients of MFIs. The training program was inaugurated by Mrs. Diva Kumari Tilija Pun, Vice Chairman, Annapurna Rural Municipality , who attended as the Chief Guest. The event also had the presence of other guests Mr. Janardan Dev Pant, Vice Chairman, Nirdhan, Mrs. Anju Pandey, Executive Officer, Nirdhan, Kathmandu, as the Special Guest.
The training sessions were conducted by experienced technical officers Mr. Shyam Sharan Kurmi, Agricultural Officer from Annapurna Rural Municipality and Mr. Prakash Pun, Crop Protection Officer from Agricultural Knowledge Center, Myagdi, Beni. The three-day training covered the following key topics: Selection of Land and Area for Orange Farming, Selection of Plant for Plantation, Copper Paste Making Process, Use of Fertilizer,Cuttings and Plant Care.
The three-day Fruits (Orange) Farming Training Program successfully equipped participants with essential knowledge and hands-on experience in orange farming. A total of 40 participants actively engaged in training sessions, discussions, and demonstrations. The collaboration between experts and participants contributed to a productive and insightful training.
