2021 AWARDS ORGANISED BY NIRDHAN NGO DATED SEPTEMBER 6, 2021.

Dr. Harihar Dev Pant 6th Memorial Day was held on dated September 6, 2021(Bhadra 21, 2078 BS) through webinar Zoom meeting due to the pandemic of covid 19. In this virtual program, Sambridhiko Marghama Book 2078 (Collection of 181 True Women Entrepreneurial Success Stories) inaugurate by the chief guest Mr. Bam Bahadur Mishra, Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank. After the inaugural ceremony of book, chief guest Mr. Bam Bahadur Mishra, Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank praised the contribution of Dr Harihar Dev Pant in field of microfinance in Nepal. It would be honor to follow his footsteps and give our contribution towards the path he had shown us. Organizing award program for the topper of Monetary Economics and Rural Development subject itself shows positive thinking to the new generation of passed out students. Similarly award to Journalist also help to enhance the confidence level to do more in this field. This collection of 181 true women entrepreneurial success stories will definitely be able to motivate and inspire the target communities and also serve the purpose of reference in near future. On the occasion Special Guest Mr. Ganesh Bahadur Thapa, former NRB governor, remember Dr Harihar Dev Pant as humble nature, confidence and being the main initiator in introducing a revolution in the country’s micro finance sector. He was truly a great visionary leader and we must continue moving forward to his path. In Nepal poverty level decrease, not because of remittance it’s actually decrease because of Microfinance and It always there with the HELP LESS POOR. Microfinance’s will stay with poor people, understand their problems, needs and its activities will always be focused to reducing poverty and solving problems with good service. Now this organization has reached 77 out of 77 district of our country to serve the poor people. He‘s the “The Father of Micro Finance in Nepal”. His soul may rest only if we will be able to value his contribution. On the occasion, Special Guest Dr. Narhari Dhakal, Specialist of microfinance also praised him as a pioneer of microfinance in Nepal and remembers his contribution towards the microfinance as a right guardian. He laid the foundation of microfinance in Nepal.

Mamata Thapa, Journalists from Annapurna Post being awarded with Dr. Harihar Dev Pant Economic Journalism Award with cash prize of Rs 50,000 and appreciation letter handed over by Mr. Janardan Dev Pant, Chairman of Dr. Harihar Dev Pant Foundation and Vice Chairman  of Nirdhan NGO.

Mr. Narendra Raj Paneru, Student from Tribhuwan University securing 3.85 grade in Master Degree of Monetary Economics, topper of Academic Year 2016-2018 being awarded with Dr. Harihar Dev Pant Academic Excellence Award with cash prize of Rs 50,000 and appreciation letter handed over by Mr. Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Director of Nirdhan Utthan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited.
