Commercial Goat Farming Training Program in Tikapur Municipality, Kailali District, Sudurpashchim Province.
The Commercial Goat Farming Training Program was conducted from 2081.11.25 to 2081.11.27 in Tikapur Municipality, Kailali District, Sudurpashchim Province, Nepal. The objective of the training was to equip participants with technical knowledge and skills in goat farming to enhance their livelihood and promote sustainable livestock farming in the region commercial way.
The training had 30 participants, all of whom were clients of MFIs. The training program was inaugurated by Mr. Mohan Lohar, Ward Chairman of Tikapur Ward No. 1, Tikapur Municipality, who attended as the Chief Guest. The event also had the presence of Mr. Baburam Kadel, Program Officer of Nirdhan Utthan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd, Sudurpashchim Province, as the Special Guest, Mrs Laxmi Poudel, Branch Manager of Tikapur Branch of Nirdhan Utthan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd, Sudurpashchim Province, as a Guest.
The training sessions were conducted by experienced technical officers from Tikapur Municipality: Mr. Shyamraj Pandey, Technical Officer, Mrs. Kabita Joshi, Technical Officer, Mrs. Asha Raut, Technical Officer, Mrs. Lila Panthi, Technical Officer. The three-day training covered the following key topics: Introduction to Commercial Goat Farming, Housing and Management, Health and Disease Management, Breeding and Reproduction, Financial and Marketing Aspects.
A total of 30 participants actively engaged in training sessions, discussions, and demonstrations. The participants expressed keen interest in implementing the acquired knowledge in farming. The training program was successfully completed, with positive feedback from both participants and trainers.
