Commercial Buffalo and Cow Farming Training Program at Dhanushadham Municipality-3, Dhanusha District, Madhesh Province

The Entrepreneurial Development Training Program (Commercial Buffalo and Cow Farming Training Program) was conducted from 2081-10-08 to 2081-10-10 at Dhanushadham Municipality-3, Dhanusha District, Madhesh Province. The program was designed to enhance the entrepreneurial capacity of the participants, focusing on commercial buffalo and cow farming. This training aimed to equip clients of Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) with practical and theoretical knowledge, ultimately improving their financial and livelihood opportunities.

The training had 32 participants, all of whom were clients of MFIs. The diverse group consisted of individuals eager to adopt or improve their practices in buffalo and cow farming, fostering economic self-reliance.Chief Guest: Mr. Jay Narayan Yadav, Chairman of Ward No. 3, Dhanushadham Municipality, inaugurated the program with an insightful address highlighting the significance of commercial farming in the region.Special Guests:Mr. Janardan Dev Pant, Vice Chairman of Nirdhan, emphasized the importance of financial services in supporting entrepreneurship. Mrs. Anju Pandey, Executive Officer of Nirdhan, encouraged participants to utilize training to improve their livelihoods. Mr. Pradeep K Das, Regional Program Officer of Nirdhan Utthan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited, outlined the organization’s ongoing commitment to empowering its clients.Guest: Mr. Durgananda K Das, Branch Manager of Nirdhan Utthan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited, shared local success stories of entrepreneurial growth.Trainners: Mr. Bishnu Dev Yadav, Chief of Pasu Sewa Karyalaya Dhanushadham Municipality. And Mr. Birendra Kumar Yadav from Pasu Sewa Karyalaya Dhanushadham Municipality.

The sessions included technical knowledge on buffalo and cow farming, covering topics like animal nutrition, health care, modern farming techniques, and market linkages.On the second day, participants visited Mr. Bablu Yadav’s farm to gain hands-on experience and observe the practical implementation of commercial farming.Mr. Durgananda Das and Mr. Pradeep K Das provided detailed information about the services offered by Nirdhan Utthan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited, including:Insurance: Schemes to secure livestock, Microinsurance and family health.Savings and Deposits: Tailored options to encourage financial growth.Loans: Affordable loans for business development.Awards and Supports: Incentives for children of clients who excel in academics (e.g., intermediate level scholarships). And supports provided to the members during natural calamities and critical illness.At the end, certificates were distributed to participants by Special Guests, Mr. Janardan Dev Pant and Mrs. Anju Pandey. They acknowledged the dedication of participants and urged them to apply the knowledge gained to their ventures.

The Entrepreneurial Development Training Program was a significant step toward empowering participants with entrepreneurial skills and knowledge. The collaboration between stakeholders and participants has set the stage for sustainable economic development in the region.

As the coordinator of this program, I am confident that the knowledge and skills imparted during these three days will have a long-lasting positive impact on the livelihoods of the participants and their communities.
