Training in hand wash, toilet cleaner, and phenyl Making at Thecho, Lalitpur.

On 10th June 2024, a comprehensive one-day training session on the making process of hand wash, toilet cleaner, and phenyl was organized for the women members of the NirdhanUtthan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd at Thecho, branch. This initiative aimed to empower women with the skills to start their small-scale businesses and promote hygienic practices in their communities. During the opening session of the training program, Godawari Municipality-12, Lalitpur District ward-12, Ward Chairman Mr. Jagat Bahadur Maharjan, was the prominent guest. Mrs Rita Regmi branch manager of Thecho branch of Nirdhan Utthan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited, Mr. Kushal Babu Nepal Accountant of Thecho branch of Nirdhan Utthan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited, among others were present in the event.

The event was held at the community hall in Thecho, with the participation of 32 enthusiastic women. The initiative aimed to enhance their economic independence while promoting better hygiene practices in their communities. Expert trainers led the sessions, ensuring that each participant received detailed guidance on the process of making these essential hygiene products. The training covered both theoretical and practical aspects of making hand wash, toilet cleaner and, phenyl. Participants learned about the importance of hygiene, the chemical formulations of the products, and safety measures in handling chemicals. The practical demonstration allowed participants to engage directly in the making process. Each woman had the opportunity to create their batches of hand wash, toilet cleaner, and phenyl under the supervision of experienced trainers. Beyond product creation, the training included sessions on business development. Topics such as starting a small business, effective marketing strategies, and cost management were covered. This holistic approach aimed to equip women not just with skills but also with the knowledge to succeed in the marketplace.

The successful conclusion of the Hand Wash, Toilet Cleaner, and Phenyl Making Training for the women members at Thecho was marked by an inspiring closing ceremony. The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Executive Officer, Nirdhan, Mrs. Anju Pandey Pant.

Following her speech, Mrs. Pant took the opportunity to personally distribute certificates to all 32 participants. This gesture was not only a recognition of their hard work and dedication but also a formal acknowledgment of their new skills and readiness to embark on their entrepreneurial journeys.

Mrs. Pant also hinted at future initiatives by Nirdhan to continue supporting these women, including advanced training sessions and potential funding opportunities. She concluded, “This is just the start. We will continue to stand by you, providing the support and resources needed to ensure your success.”

Participants expressed high levels of satisfaction with the training. Many were eager to begin their entrepreneurial journeys, citing the comprehensive nature of the training and the supportive environment as key factors in their confidence. The hand wash, toilet cleaner, and phenyl-making training for MFI women members at Thecho is a commendable initiative that blends skill development with entrepreneurial empowerment. By equipping women with the necessary skills and knowledge, this program is paving the way for sustainable economic growth and improved hygiene practices within the community.
