Commercial Pig farming at Duhabi, Tankisinwari, Biratnagar.

The training was provided to the women on several aspects of Commercial Pig farming. The training was conducted for 3 days from 16th March 2023 to 18th March 2023 to the client members of Tankisinwari Branch, Morang District of Nirdhan Utthan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited.at Pasu Sewa Talim Kendra Duhabi, Sunsari, Province 1. Altogether there were 30 participants in the training program. The chief guest was Mr. Hadish Miya ward member of Dubhi Municipality, Ward no-6, Sunsari District, Province 1 who inaugurated in opening of the program.

Trainers Mr. Deepak Babu Siha, Suk Raj Limbu and Udhya Narayan Yadhav from Pasu Sewa Talim Kendra Duhabi, Sunsari facilitated the training. There were altogether 30 participants in the training program. The training program starts with the collection of expectation of topics that the trainee wants to learn and discussion on traditional and current modernized method of commercial Pig Farming. They trained participants starting with the importance of Pig farming with different aspects (economic wise, employment wise, tourism wise, and business wise), Housing System and Materials used in Pig farming, Pig Breeding System, Balance Diet and Feeding Management, Care of Piglets, Prevention and Control of Pig Diseases in Nepal. Beside that they had shared some ideas about income generation and Pig Marketing System in Nepal. He also oriented farmers how farmers can make pig farming as a profitable business.

Participants were excited to learn about commercial pig farming. They appreciated the effort of Nirdhan providing the skill of pig farming and enhancing their knowledge. They lastly thanked Nirdhan for their huge support and opening a door for economic freedom for the rural women.
