Position: Nirdhan Swasthya Sahajkarta (NSSs)
Location: Lumbini Province (Bardiya District)

Nirdhan invites applications for the following positions for an anticipated 5-year community health awareness program to be implemented in the selected districts (Bardiya) of Lumbini province. The program aims to improve reproductive health and primary healthcare access in underserved communities through trained Nirdhan Health Facilitators (NSSs). NSSs will serve as a bridge between the community and health facilities, delivering education, referrals, and mobilizing support for healthier behaviors. The positions will be hired as a part time work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver health education on maternal/child health, family planning, nutrition, and non-communicable diseases.
  • Conduct door-to-door visits, group sessions, and community awareness campaigns.
  • Refer individuals to health facilities and follow up to ensure service uptake.
  • Mobilize community leaders and groups to support health initiatives.
  • Maintain digital records of household visits and referrals via a mobile app.
  • Participate in livelihood training and micro-loan programs for economic resilience.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Female candidates aged 25–45 years (married preferred).
  • Resident of the target community; respected and well-connected.
  • Microfinance group member/leader (advantage).
  • Basic literacy (min. 10 years of schooling, flexible for motivated candidates).
  • Commitment to serve for at least 5 years.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Android Mobile User friendly and an android mobile (Smartphone) ownership.
