Nirdhan invites applications for the following positions for an anticipated 5-year community health program to be implemented in the selected districts of Lumbini province. The program aims to empower and enhance the capacity of a critical mass of Nirdhan Swasthya Sahajkarta (NSSs) to be drawn mostly from among Nirdhan Utthan MFI member/clients to deliver primary health services, products, and awareness to their communities and to provide linkages to formal health service providers including government health programs. The positions will be hired initially for a year (pilot phase) under contractual services and level of effort for each of the positions negotiated on need basis.

Program Management SpecialistM&E Officer
Roving position with advisory responsibilities on program planning, implementation,monitoring
and evaluation
Roving position responsible for tracking performance data and reporting at activity, output and outcome levels

Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 2 years of professional experience
  • Proficiency in Nepali and English languages
  • Proficiency in MS Office packages – Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Desired qualifications/attributes

  • Female candidates and those from marginalized or disadvantaged communities
  • Demonstrated commitment to women’s empowerment, health equity, and climate resilience
  • Proven ability to work with marginalized communities
  • Knowledge of health systems and rural development context of Nepal
  • Strong coordination, leadership, and communication skills
  • Advanced degree in Public Health, Gender Studies, or Management

Nirdhan Health Supervisor (NHS)
No. Of Vacancies: 4
Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor 10 NSSs, ensuring quality service delivery.
  • Conduct monthly review meetings and on-the-job support.
  • Liaise with local health facilities to strengthen referrals.
  • Monitor NSSs performance and report progress.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Female candidates preferred (medical background: nurse, midwife, or community skilled birth attendant).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a healthcare facility.
  • Willingness to travel (Driving Motor Cycle License is an advantage).
  • Smartphone ownership (for digital reporting).
