Graduated in finance from the ICFAI University, India and CFA from ICFAI.

He has several years of extensive experience in consulting, corporate finance and banking in frontier markets.  In his previous assignment, He worked as SME finance consultant to Asian Development Bank.  Prior to this, he worked as consultant to Rural Sector Cluster Development Program II- Asian Development Bank’s program in Nepal. He also co-founded and worked as Managing Partner with Quantum Capital, an investment management firm in Nepal and briefly worked as Managing Director with Ace Capital Limited, a licensed Merchant Bank in Nepal.

Mr. Janardan Dev Pant is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nirdhan Utthan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd since September 2015. Nirdhan Utthan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha is a Micro Finance Bank regulated by the Central Bank of Nepal. The mission of Nirdhan Utthan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha is to extend financial services and social awareness to the poor in under-served and un-served areas of Nepal in a sustainable manner. Currently, it is the only micro finance Bank to be fully operational in all 77 districts of Nepal. It has 178 branches all over the country.

Mr. Pant served as a Member, Board of Director Siddhartha Insurance Limited from April 2012 to April 2016.He also served as Member of Board of Directors of Nepal Investment Bank Limited from July 2010 to August 2015.
